AHIVOY is seeking a professional and exceptionally organized Development Coordinator to grow our organization’s efforts and mission. Reporting to and working closely with the Board of Directors, the Development Coordinator is an events-heavy position with significant opportunities to assume responsibilities across a wide range of fundraising, relationship building, marketing, communications, and management activities.
Responsibilities: Assume a lead role in planning and executing all fundraising events. Manage event logistical details, serve as the point of contact for all participants. Create event communications such as save the dates, invitations, e-blasts, programs, and other marketing materials as needed. Organize auction procurement efforts and prepare auction materials. Drive cause marketing campaigns and oversee donor and volunteer appreciation/cultivation events. Collaborate with the Board of Directors on updating and monitoring the annual development calendar to ensure year-round engagement and stewardship of individual donors and employers. Monitor and ensure the appropriate follow up occurs with donors and supporters. Process donations, generate and track tax-receipts and acknowledgement letters. Create and distribute e-news communications, drafting content for supporters and donors. Conduct grant and sponsorship research. Design and develop sponsor collateral as needed. Fulfill all sponsorship recognition and benefits. Manage data entry and development of donor database, email distribution, social media and website.
Qualities and Qualifications: Understanding of and belief in the organizations Mission and Core Values. Values driven with a strong commitment to social justice. Demonstrated experience and comfort in fundraising, soliciting for donations, and/or planning major events. Detail-oriented and proactive approach to managing time-sensitive and competing workloads. Outstanding written communication and presentation skills. Strong experience preparing reports. Friendly, enthusiastic, and positive attitude. Strong knowledge of social media and other basic marketing platforms. Must possess the ability to manage multiple projects at a time. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
